Description

The New Railway Map and Guide of New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey with parts of adjoining states and Canada was drawn by W. Barrington and published by Smith & Stroup in 1881.

The map was created in the same year as the founding of The Wharton School in Philadelphia, and on the eve of Edison’s incandescent illumination of Manhattan.

This map shows rivers and mountains, cities and towns, and county boundaries. It clearly labels railroad lines.
