This panoramic map of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania was drawn and published by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler in 1900. Mount Pleasant was established in 1828. The agricultural borough prospered as a result of the coal and coke regions discovered nearby. Known for its fine glassmakers Mount Pleasant was served by the Pennsylvania and Baltimore & Ohio Railroads. The railroads enabled Mount Pleasant to become a transportation center for the valuable coal and coke.

The map produced in 1900 includes labeled streets, buildings and railroad routes.
