Description

Hazard's Railroad and Military Map of the Southern States prepared by the Committee on Inland Transportation of the Board of Trade of Philadelphia from the latest accessible authorities.

The coast was accurately drawn from the United States coast surveys and adopted by the War Department as the official map for government use. It was drawn and engraved in 1862 by P.S. Duval & Sons.

Although this war-torn map is hindered by missing three corners, it displays cities, towns, forts, counties, rivers, roads, and clearly labeled railroad lines. An inset map of Florida is mostly missing.
