Founded in 1681, Philadelphia is one of the earliest cities of the United States. Rich in history, the city hosted the First and Second Continental Congress' as well as the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  It's importance during the Revolutionary War cannot be understated, and the city served as the capital from 1790 to 1800 during the construction of Washington, DC.
