1st prize:

    • $500 US Dollars
    • A full-size giclée print on archival paper
    • An invitation to sell the map in our online store where a 20% royalty will be paid to the artist for every copy sold.

2nd prize:

    • $250 US Dollars
    • A full-size giclée print on archival paper

3rd prize:

    • $100 US Dollars
    • A full-size giclée print on archival paper

The competition is open to all artists worldwide. Winners will be chosen by curator Joseph Roberts and CoCA, The Center on Contemporary Art, in Seattle, Washington. All entries must be submitted by 5PM Pacific Time on March 15, 2017. Prizes will be awarded on April 15, 2017. A notification will be posted on the home page of 1-World’s website, CoCA’s website, and on our Facebook pages. Any applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winners. Finished artworks will remain the property of the artists.

Specifications:

     • Submissions in digital (2-dimensional) format for printing purposes.
     • Any medium
     • Any aspect ratio
     • 300 dpi resolution
     • One side of art piece must be at least 24” long
     • No photographs. Only scans or computer-generated files.

Application Instructions:

     • Artworks may be submitted through a link to your website or your Dropbox account.
     • Interested artists will also email their resume, contact information, and website link to: worldmap2017@cocaseattle.org
     • Entry deadline is on or before March 15, 2017.
     • No more than two submissions per artist, please.
     • There is no fee for artist submissions.
     • Artwork will be selected based on artistic and conceptual merit.
     • Selected artists will grant CoCA and 1-World permission to use physical and digital images of the artist's work in any publicity about this project as well as in physical and digital historical portfolios.
