The World 1604 - Planicus Planisphere, Fabric Giclee Print

This highly decorative Planicus world map is reproduced on durable waterproof fabric through the same giclee printing process fine art galleries and museums use to reproduce original works of art. The high resolution and clarity of giclee printing retains even the most minute of details from the original work.

Petrus Planicus produced his famous wall map of the known world in 1592. A great deal of effort was expended producing what is one of the most decorative and detailed maps ever made. Updated with the latest discoveries of the period. The original can be found in the Bibliotheque nationale de France.

Our glorious reproduction is hand printed on durable UV resistant fabric that will not fade over time. French finished cherry wood slats mounted at the top and bottom allow for easy hanging.
