This reproduction overhead view map of New York was drawn by Will L. Taylor and published by Galt & Hoy in 1879. It provides a highly detailed look at New York and vicinity four years before the Brooklyn Bridge was completed. At the lower right is the U. S. Navy Yard and Station.
