This aero-view map of Minersville, Pennsylvania was drawn and published by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler in 1889. Minersville was settled by Europeans in the late 1700's and became a stop along the famed King���s Highway. In the 1800's, Minersville prospered greatly with the mining of anthracite coal as mines were established throughout the region. Minersville was served in the 1800's by the Reading Railroad.

The map from 1889 includes labeled streets, buildings and railroad lines. It features inset illustrations of the following:
