View of Moosic, Lackawanna County, P.A., 1892 / drawn & published by T. M. Fowler, A. E. Downs, lith.

This panoramic print of Moosic, Pennsylvania was drawn and published by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler in 1892. Moosic lies just southwest of Scranton along the Lackawanna River. Moosic was located at the center of the great Pennsylvania coal fields. The valuable fields led to great prosperity for the small community of Moosic as collieries began to appear throughout the valley. Other manufactures of Moosic included a powder company and a silk goods mill.

The popular Rocky Glen Park was founded near town in 1886. The picnic spot would later be transformed into a grand amusement park that included a newly formed lake.

The map from 1892 includes labeled streets, bridges, buildings and railroad routes.
