This panoramic print of East Douglas, Massachusetts was drawn and published by Lucien R. Burleigh & Co. in 1886. East Douglas was settled in the 1700's along the Mumford River. Its earliest history surrounded the timber industry.

A large woolen mill operated by W. E. Hayward & Company and the Ames Axe Manufacturing Company employed much of the town, as well as the region’s valuable granite industry.

The map shows labeled streets, bridges, buildings and waterways.
