This bird’s-eye view print of North Billerica, Massachusetts was drawn and published by Lucien R. Burleigh in 1887. North Billerica was a small farming village along the Concord River until the mid-1800's when mills and factories began to appear.

The mills, operated by the Talbot brothers, built a number of tenement buildings to house workers.

North Billerica was served by the Boston & Lowell Railroad. In 1887, the railroad was acquired by the Boston & Maine Railroad.

The map includes labeled roads, buildings and railroad routes.
