This bird��s-eye view of Ridgway, Pennsylvania was drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler and published by T. M. Fowler & James B. Moyer in 1895. Ridgway was first settled by Europeans as a lumbering community along the Clarion River in the 1820's. In the 1870's coal mines and gas wells began to emerge from Ridgway��s landscape. The community also had interests in leather goods, clay products, silk goods and machine tools.

The map from 1895 includes Ridgway streets, buildings, bridges and railroad routes.
