This panoramic print of Winthrop, Massachusetts was drawn and published by A. F. Poole in 1894. Winthrop was settled in the 1630's on a peninsula at the head of Boston Bay.

The area was primarily used for the grazing of cattle in the early days.

By the late 1800's, Winthrop was a fashionable resort town catering to visiting New Englanders.

The illustration includes labeled roads, bridges, buildings and railroad route.
