At one time Viet Nam was divided into a northern part and a southern
part with an east west dividing line located approximately 75 miles
north of the city of Hue. The capital of the southern part was a city

During the 1960s and 1970s the United States was involved in a war in
Viet Nam. Thousands of American men and women traveled to Viet Nam to
fight in this war on the side of the South Vietnamese. To reach Viet Nam
most Americans traveled by air and they departed the United States from
