This bird’s-eye view print of Young America, Illinois was drawn by Albert Ruger and published by Chicago Lith. Co. in 1869. Young America was established as a stop along the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad in the 1850's. The railroad service brought much growth to the agricultural community of Young America.
Map title indicates Warren County.
The map, looking northwest, contains labeled streets, buildings and railroad route. Central inset illustration is of the Public School.
