Reproduction bird's-eye view map of Chatham, New York, published by Lucien R. Burleigh in 1886. Chatham was prosperous as a railroad center with numerous trains coming and going daily, serving the Boston and Albany line and New York and Harlem line. In 1869, the S. & J. Boright Lumber Co. was established in Chatham and in 1875 the State Bank of Chatham was founded.

This panoramic map from 1886 includes buildings, clearly labeled street names and railroad lines.
