This bird’s-eye view print of Webster, Massachusetts was drawn and published by O. H. Bailey & Co. in 1892. Webster was incorporated on the banks of Lake Chaubunagungamaug, or Webster Lake, in 1832.
The community prospered with, and grew around, the giant complex of textile mills at that location, operated by Samuel Slater.
