This bird’s-eye view print of Foxborough, Massachusetts was drawn and published by O. H. Bailey & J. C. Hazen in 1879. Foxborough was settled in the early 1700's southwest of Boston.

In the late 1800's, Foxborough was the home of the Union Straw Works. The extensive works, founded by E. P. Carpenter, was a large producer of straw hats.

The illustration includes labeled streets, buildings and railroad route. There are color illustrations of the following:

• Town Hall & High School.
• Union Straw Works, West Branch.
• Union Straw Works.
• Union Straw Works, South Branch.
• Memorial Hall.
