Middletown is a city in Orange County, New York, in the foothills of the Shawangunk Mountains along the Walkill River. In 1921, it was a transportation railway hub providing enterprisers with excellent shipping abilities. The area was known for its manufacture of tools of all sorts, as well as fine furniture.
