This bird’s-eye view print of Nebraska City, Nebraska was drawn by Albert Ruger and published by Merchants Lithographing Co. in 1868. Nebraska City was established in the 1850's as a ferry boat landing for crossings of the Missouri River. The town was named the county seat of government of Otoe County in 1854, when the county was formed.
