Panoramic reproduction map of the town of Scio, Ohio, drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler and published by T. M. Fowler & James B. Moyer in its 2nd edition of April 1899. Scio is a village established along the Conotton Creek in Harrison County. Scio College was founded here as an educational institution for future ministers of the Methodist Episcopal faith. This map from 1899 shows the many oil wells that dotted the landscape of Scio, once it was discovered here.

The map features clearly labeled street names with scenes of carriage, pedestrian and railroad traffic.
