This bird’s-eye view print of Onset Bay Grove, Massachusetts was drawn and published by Geo. H. Walker & Co. in 1885. Onset Bay Grove was established southeast of Wareham in the 1800's. In was developed by Spiritualists as a summer camp and meeting destination.

Spiritualists believed that there was communication between the living and the dead. Visitors to Onset Bay Grove could enjoy the coastal scenery or attend lectures and meetings.

The illustration includes labeled roads, piers, buildings, beaches, streetcar route and vicinity. Featured is an inset illustration of Washburn House, A. W. Washburn, Proprietor.
