This colorful panoramic print of Boston, Massachusetts was drawn and published by Geo. H. Walker & Co. in 1902. The image focuses on the Beach & Clarridge Soda Water Company, near Boston’s Base Ball Grounds.
Cambridge, Boston Harbor and the newly formed Back Bay are shown in the distance. Huntington Avenue Base Ball Grounds were established in 1901 on an old circus lot. A stadium at this location would host the first World Series game in 1903.
The illustration advertising Beach & Clarridge Co. shows labeled streets, bridges, buildings and railroad routes. Included is the B. & C. Soda Co. logo and elaborate company building and grounds advertisements.
