This colorful panoramic print of Fort Reno, Oklahoma was drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler and published by T. M. Fowler & James B. Moyer in 1891. Fort Reno was established in the 1870's as a U. S. Army post located on the Cheyenne and Arapaho reserve.
During the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889, Fort Reno’s soldiers were used to maintain order. The land on which Fort Reno once stood now houses the Grazinglands Research Laboratory for the U. S. Department of Agriculture.
The map includes streets, buildings, railroad route and portrayed parade activities.
