This panoramic print of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania was drawn by Thaddeus Mortimer Fowler and published by T. M. Fowler & James B. Moyer in 1894. Schwenksville lies on the banks of Perkiomen Creek, halfway between Collegeville and Perkiomenville along the Reading Railroad���s Perkiomen Valley corridor. Schwenksville, named after blacksmith George Schwenk, was a popular resort town in the 1800's. It was an important ice manufacturing town in the late 1800's as nearby Philadelphia households and businesses were acquiring more and more iceboxes.

The illustrated map from 1894 includes labeled streets, buildings, bridges and railroad line.
